Homework
Due Thursday, Sept 17th
- Math Home Connections book pages 5 and 6.
- Read by yourself or with someone for 10 minutes.
- Seesaw- It is a weekly expectation that students record themselves reading their take home book on Seeesaw. Each child will come home with a paper take home book every week. This book should not be difficult for them to read as we will have read it multiple times at school. They should read the book 3-4 times throughout the week. For their final read they need to record themselves on Seesaw. Please read the directions in your child's Friday Folder and watch the instructional video on how to access and complete the reading homework. The take home book can be placed in your child's All About Me box so they can be reread multiple times.
- Click here to watch the video on how to log into Seesaw.
- You will find extra practice that goes along with the Take Home book in the Friday Folder. Please help your child complete the page/s and return them by Thursday.
- Optional: ST Math

What is Happening in FIRST GRADE?
Please look for your child's assessment data sheet in their Friday Folder. We have completed
beginning-of-the-year assessments in reading, writing, and math readiness.
Our WIN (What I Need) groups allow us to differentiate instruction based on student needs. Students who need additional support receive intervention, students on grade level deepen their understanding, and advanced students participate in enrichment activities that promote critical thinking and challenge their skills. Since our groups are skill-based, they are very fluid. Students will move in and out of groups based on needs determined by assessments.

ST Math
Did you know your child has access to ST Math, a fun and engaging online math program that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills? Students can log in through their my.cherrycreekschools.org account.
We encourage students to complete 30 minutes of ST Math each week. Although we provide time at school, students who practice at home often show stronger progress and confidence in math. To watch ST Math in action, click this link.
Thank you for encouraging your child to continue learning beyond the classroom!
